Jess Cooper has studied a Bachelor of Audio Production at SAE Institute Sydney, learning from industry professionals such as Paul McKercher (Producer), Ben Feggans, Oscar Gaona and Mark McKinnon-Bassett (Mastering Engineers). During this period Jess has had experience in recording, mixing and mastering a variety of musical styles and instruments in studios 301, Megaphon Studios, The Lab (Level 7), The Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney) and SAE Studios Sydney as well as recording sound on location with a portable rig. Jess has spent 6 weeks travelling through Nepal and India recording musicians in their home towns with Greg Simmons, founder of Audio Technology Magazine. For the past year Jess has worked for The Sonic Factory, a small recording studio as well as freelance mastering and mixing.
Jess has studied an advanced diploma of 3D art, specialising in game art at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment. She has learnt many skills involved in making films and games making her a good generalist, ready to slot into any part of a pipeline. She has good knowledge in Adobe software and is great at picking up new ones.
